What are the aluminum alloys used in the construction of an automotive body frame?
For the use of aluminum metal in the automobile manufacturing industry, it is currently mainly used in four aspects: car body, wheel hub, engine and air conditioning in the car.
The main body of the car body is 2000 series, 5000 series and 6000 series aluminum alloy, and some car manufacturers use 7 series aluminum alloy (usually used in aircraft landing gear or high strength parts of fighter fuselage).
The wheel hub is mainly made of ALSi series alloy, Mg alloy, 6061 deformed aluminum alloy.
The engine is the core of the car, and its cylinder block uses die-cast aluminum alloy. At present, the engine block of some cars cannot be replaced with cast aluminum, and cast iron is still used.
The vehicle air conditioner is changed to an automobile aluminum heat exchanger, which is composed of an aluminum tube that passes cooling water and an aluminum fin that functions as a heat sink.
